Genesis Gas Solutions bags order for 30,000+ gas meters from Gujarat Gas

The company is currently having the first and the largest implementation of LoRa technology in smart gas metering in India

Vikas Lifecare Limited has announced that its recent acquisition Genesis Gas Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has bagged orders worth Rs. 31 million to supply 30,000+ gas meters from Gujarat Gas Limited, India's largest city gas distribution company. 
 
Vikas Lifecare Limited recently announced acquisition of 75% equity of Genesis which is engaged in the business of developing smart products including smart gas meters and power distribution solutions for the infrastructure segment. Genesis pioneers in smart gas and water metering in India and commands about 20% of the domestic gas metering share in India. The company is currently having the first and the largest implementation of LoRa technology in smart gas metering in India. 
 
Gujarat Gas Limited came into being on 30th March 2015, upon an amalgamation of GSPC Gas Company Limited, Gujarat Gas Company Limited, Gujarat Gas Financial Services Limited, and Gujarat Gas Trading Company Limited into Gujarat Gas Limited formerly known as GSPC Distribution Networks Limited.
 
Gujarat Gas Limited is India’s largest City Gas Distribution (CGD) company with 27 CGD licenses spread across 43 districts in six states - Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh and one union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
 
GGL continues to hold the leadership position in CGD industry in terms of size and scale of operation, with more than 16.50 lakhs households, over 13,500 commercial customers, 653 CNG stations, close to 4,300 industrial units and over 32,000 kilometre of natural gas pipeline network. The company has a total gas volume close to 11.40 mmscmd.
