Gujarat State Petronet to invest Rs. 2,051 on capacity expansion

Expansion of capacity of GSPL's High Pressure Gujarat Gas Grid by laying of Anjar Palanpur pipeline.

Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) has received a letter from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) regarding expansion of capacity of GSPL's High Pressure Gujarat Gas Grid by laying of Anjar Palanpur pipeline.

The Board has approved GSPL's proposal to lay Anjar - Palanpur pipeline as an expansion of GSPL's High Pressure Gujarat Gas Grid proposal under Regulation 12 (2) of NGPL Authorization Regulations.

The starting point is Anjar, Gujarat emanating from 36" Mundra - Arpar Pipeline of GSPL's High Pressure Gujarat Gas Grid and the termination point is Palanpur, District Banaskantha, Gujarat connecting MBPL. The pipeline diameter is 30 inches (Anjar - Palanpur Spurline) and the length of the pipeline is 274 Km. The capacity of the pipeline is 12 MMSCMD.

The Capex of the project will be limited at Rs. 2,051.18 crore (as informed by GSPL). The Capex towards this pipeline would not be considered in future oapex for tariff calculation of GSPL's HP Gas Grid and would be allowed only after actual expenditure.

The capacity of GSPLs high pressure Gujarat Gas Grid shall be around 44.76 MMSCMD after subject expansion of around 12 MMSCMD. The project completion schedule is 3 years.
