PetroChina signs 3 gas sales agreement to support domestic consumption

PetroChina is committed to prioritize gas allocation for domestic consumption

PetroChina International Jabung recently signed three gas sales agreements with PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan, PT Gemilang Jabung Energi and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara. As part of Production Sharing Contractors (PSCs) in Indonesia and the operator of Jabung Working Area, PetroChina is committed to prioritize gas allocation for domestic consumption.

President Director Qian Mingyang, assisted by Vice President Business Support Gusminar and Commercial Manager Kamisah, signed the agreement on the sidelines of Gas Forum 2024, hosted by upstream oil and gas regulator SKK Migas in Bandung, West Java.

The forum recorded the investment commitment worth Rp 94.4 trillion and witnessed 27 gas sales agreements, including PetroChina’s three agreements. According to SKK Migas, the forum was expected to raise understanding for the importance of gas infrastructure to optimize the natural gas lifting and distribution.

The event invited numerous stakeholders in gas industry in Indonesia and aimed at increasing collaboration initiatives to develop the sector. SKK Migas has vowed to optimize domestic gas production and consumption, saying that the industry has significant prospects in the future.
