India Pesticides receives TEQ certification in EU for new product

India Pesticides Limited has received Technical Equivalence (TEQ) certification in the European Union (EU) for its newly commissioned herbicide technical product. This certification will bolster the company's export revenue and contribute to increased foreign exchange earnings for the country.

Jindal Poly Films acquires Global Nonwovens

Jindal Poly Films Ltd has announced that pursuant to the Share Purchase Agreement entered with Henko Commodities Pvt Ltd on 27th March, 2023. The company has purchased 100% shareholding of Global Nonwovens Limited (GNL), consequent to which, GNL will become a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the company. The object of the Target Company i.e. dealing in Non-woven items for Industrial applications is aligned with the objects of the Company.

India clears JV between Advent and LANXESS

India’s competition authority granted merger clearance for the planned joint venture (JV) for high-performance engineering materials by Advent International and specialty chemicals company LANXESS.

Other relevant competition authorities approved the transaction in the course of last year and lately the EU Commission granted clearance on January 9, 2023. The transaction is therefore ready for closing which is now planned to take place no later than the beginning of April 2023.

On May 31, 2022, Advent and LANXESS announced the envisaged establishment of an Advent controlled, leading global engineering materials joint venture company with sales of around EUR 3 billion, combining the DSM Engineering Materials business with LANXESS’ High Performance Materials business.

IGL signs MoU with BHEL

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) have signed an MoU on March 22, 2023 for “Joint collaboration for development, manufacturing & deployment of type-IV cylinders (CNG and/or hydrogen), hydrogen blending in City Gas Distribution (CGD) and fuel cell based power backup system.
