Oriental Aromatics commences commercial production

Oriental Aromatics Limited has announced that the commercial production at its multi-product Hydrogenation Plant situated at Plot No.3, GIDC Ind Estate, Nandesari, Vadodara-391 340, Gujarat, India has commenced on 30th July, 2024.

Paradeep Phosphates pays 12.37 lakhs compensation to GSPCB

Goa State Central Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has directed the company to pay the environment compensation amounting to Rs. 12, 37,500 in respect of the company’s manufacturing unit at Goa.

The GSPCB based on their analysis of the water samples drawn in and around Goa unit, has alleged that elevated levels of Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN) and Potassium are present in the sample as they are constituents in the products manufactured by the company.

The company firmly disputes these allegations and has provided legitimate reasons for the observed conditions. However, in compliance with the directive the company has deposited an amount of Rs. 12, 37,500 as compensation in accordance with the polluter’s pay principle while it continues to contest the GSPCB’s findings.

The operations at the company’s facilities have consistently been conducted in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
