GHCL Limited was conferred the CII Excellence Award in 3R for Industry (Managing own waste) at 7th CII 3R awards International Conference held in Delhi.

This award acknowledges GHCL’s efforts towards demonstrating the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principles in waste management and creating a benchmark in the industry.

GHCL received the award for its dedicated efforts in the areas of efficient waste management and prioritizing a sustainable approach towards environment and society at its Soda ash plant in Sutrapada, Gujarat. The CII 3R award is conferred after a rigorous and structured assessment process across four levels which includes onsite evaluation. GHCL’s selection was based on the organization’s priorities towards waste management, and its drive to achieve social and environmental sustainability by channeling innovations and profits into these areas.

Speaking on the occasion, R S Jalan, MD GHCL limited said, “With management of waste assuming critical importance today, interventions to foster sustainable solutions help enhance material and process efficiencies. At GHCL, we understand this criticality and follow a stringent environment strategy, with carefully drafted policies for waste segregation, treatment and disposal.
