HPCL's CSR initiatives bags multiple awards

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has earned widespread recognition for its exemplary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable community development. The company's dedication to social responsibility has been acknowledged through numerous awards.

HPCL's commitment to education was recognized at The CSR Journal Excellence Awards 2024, where the company received the 1st Runner-up Award in the 'Education & Skill Training' category for Project Kashmir Super 50. The award was presented by MP, Lok Sabha, Sunil Tatkare, in the presence of MP, Rajya Sabha, P T Usha, and Minister for Women & Child Development, Govt. of Maharashtra, Aditi S. Tatkare. Rajeev Goel, Executive Director – CSR & PRCC, accepted the award on behalf of HPCL.

Project Kashmir Super-50 Medical, a collaborative initiative with the Indian Army, aimed at providing superior educational resources to the region, particularly for students from non-urban, semi-rural, and rural areas. This program exemplifies HPCL's philosophy of 'Delivering Happiness' through innovative, value-driven approaches to community development, maximizing positive impact on the lives of Kashmiri youth.

The Mahatma Award 2024 for CSR Excellence (Overall) was bestowed upon HPCL, underscoring its comprehensive approach to CSR. This recognition was presented by Dr. Kiran Bedi at Sustainability Live Week 2024 and accepted by Shri Rajeev Goel, Executive Director - CSR & PRCC, HPCL.

"We are humbled by this recognition, which reinforces our commitment to creating a positive impact on the communities we serve. Our CSR initiatives are designed to empower marginalized groups, promote environmental sustainability, and contribute to the nation's growth,” Goel said.

HPCL's Project Kashmir Super 50, conducted in partnership with the Indian Army, has made a profound impact by providing quality education to the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. This initiative has garnered:

* Platinum 5-Star Trophy at the WSO India OHS&E Awards 2024

* 1st Runner-Up at The CSR Journal Excellence Awards

* 2nd Runner-Up at AIMA's Business Responsibility Summit 

These accolades celebrate the project's success in coaching and mentoring aspiring students from underserved regions in line with Sadbhavana Mission.

At the CSR Health Impact Awards 2024, HPCL's initiatives earned:

* Gold Award for Project Nourish, providing nutritional support to children in the Nilgiris region

* Silver Award for Swachhata Pakhwada 2023, promoting environmental sustainability

* Silver Award for Project Dhanwantari's mobile medical units, expanding healthcare access in underserved areas

* CSR Healthcare Changemakers Award for exemplary contribution to the health sector

Decade of Driving Social Change

HPCL was honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Indian CSR One Decade Celebration Council, recognizing its consistent efforts in driving social change over the past decade. Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi presented this award, highlighting HPCL's continued contribution to meaningful social impact.
