in-cosmetics Korea 2024, the only exhibition dedicated to personal care ingredients in South Korea, concluded with remarkable success, marking a pivotal event in the beauty and personal care industry. Held from 24–26 July 2024, the show attracted over 16,700 visitors, nearly a third (33%) more than the 2023 edition.

This year’s event, co-located with Intercharm, set a new benchmark for the in-cosmetics portfolio by offering exhibitors a platform to engage with one of the most diverse and international audiences to date. International suppliers, including DSM, Ashland, Evonik, Lubrizol, CLR, and Merck, alongside attendees from 17 different countries, highlighted the show’s global appeal and its significance in connecting the South Korean market with the rest of the world.

in-cosmetics Korea 2024 once again served as a key platform for unveiling the latest products and innovations. Industry leaders and emerging brands showcased a wide range of new products and technologies on the show floor, with highlights in the Innovation Zone, K Beauty Inspiration Zone, and an expanded seminar programme.

The event saw the return of several market players, including Activon, Cellicon Lab, GFC Life Science, H&A Pharmachem amongst others, who continued to push the boundaries of innovation. Amongst the standout products were SAES Chemicals’ ZeoSAES UV Booster, Cellicon Lab’s DCA-WAT, and H&A Pharmachem’s Layered Actives Delivery system. These innovations captured the attention of a global audience, demonstrating the advanced R&D capabilities of the exhibitors.

In addition, the event welcomed a host of new exhibitors making their debut, including BoreA Canada, CIDOLS KOREA, Jover Scientech, UAT, Shaanxi Yuantai Biological Technology, Lonhwa Effect Pigments Limited, Disheng Technology, and many others.

The in-cosmetics Korea Awards ceremony, held on the first day, was a highlight of the event, celebrating the innovations propelling the beauty industry forward. The newly introduced K-Beauty Standout Award – which recognised innovative skincare and makeup products setting global trends – was awarded to dsm-firmenich for PENTAVITIN®, a natural ingredient renowned for its deep hydration and skin-nourishing properties.

Meanwhile, at the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Awards, SAES Chemicals secured the gold award in the Functional Ingredients category for ZeoSAES UV Booster, while Givaudan Active Beauty won the gold award in the Active Ingredients category for Illuminyl™ 388. The awards were judged by an esteemed panel of global experts, including technical advisor, Lorna Radford, and Programme Director at Korean Sharing Movement, Professor Jaesung Hwang, among others.

Sarah Gibson, Exhibition Director of in-cosmetics Korea, commented, "This year’s event has undoubtedly been our most successful in-cosmetics Korea to date. The co-location with Intercharm brought in new prospects, and our digital enhancements significantly improved the visitor experience. We look forward to the next edition of in-cosmetics Korea, which promises to build on this year’s successes, offering even more opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to connect and discover the latest in Korean beauty and personal care."
