Mitsubishi Gas Chemical receives ISCC Plus certification for methanol

With this certification, MGC will begin trading ISCC PLUS-certified Methanol, which is manufactured from sustainable raw materials as per the mass balance approach

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc. recently announced that it has acquired ISCC PLUS certification (Trader with Storage).
 
With this certification, MGC will begin trading ISCC PLUS-certified Methanol, which is manufactured from sustainable raw materials as per the mass balance approach. MGC will expand the area of trading with other ISCC PLUS-certified products.
 
MGC has been promoting Circular Carbon Methanol (Carbopath), a technology for recycling CO2, waste plastics, biomass, and other inputs into methanol for use in chemical products, fuel, and power generation.
 
With this certification and its existing supply chain for Methanol, MGC can deliver Circular Carbon Methanol (Carbopath") throughout Japan efficiently.
 
Based on MGC’s mission of "creating value to share with society," the company will actively work towards carbon neutrality and circular carbon society by deploying Carbopath in society.
