Neogen Chemicals signs MoU with Gujarat Govt for lithium-ion battery materials project

The MoU was signed and exchanged in the presence of the Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel

Neogen Chemicals Limited  has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat for its upcoming lithium-ion battery materials and advance pharma intermediate manufacturing facility project at Dahej, GIDC.
 
The MoU was signed and exchanged in the presence of the Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
 
Dr. Rahul Gupta, Industries Commissioner of Gujarat, Vice Chairman and Managing Director GIDC and Dr. Harin Kanani, Managing Director, Neogen Chemicals Limited signed the MoU.
 
Balwantsinh Rajput, Cabinet Minister of Industries, Civil Aviation, Rural Development, Labour and Employment in the Government of Gujarat was also present.
 
Neogen Chemicals recently acquired 100% stake in BuLi Chemicals India from Livent. BuLi Chem owns the technology to manufacture N Butyl Lithium and other organolithium products using lithium metal, which are key reagents for lithiation reaction used in manufacturing of several complex pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates.
