This innovative grade leverages Milliken’s Millad NX 8000 ECOclarifyingagent to deliver exceptional clarity, superior aesthetics, and enhanced processing efficiency
OQ utilized Milliken’s Millad NX 8000 ECO additive solution to debut its Luban RP2251T injection molding grade.
OQ, a global energy investment and development company, in collaboration with diversified manufacturer Milliken & Company, launched Luban RP2251T, a new clarified random copolymer designed for injection molding applications.
This innovative grade leverages Milliken’s Millad NX 8000 ECOclarifyingagent to deliver exceptional clarity, superior aesthetics, and enhanced processing efficiency. By enabling production at significantly lower temperatures, Luban RP2251T allows converters to reduce energy consumption by up to 10 per cent, cut costs, and achieve faster cycle times, supporting more sustainable and productive manufacturing practices.
“From product development through commercialization, we are proud to collaborate with OQ to introduce their first injection molding grade made with our Millad clarifying technology,” said Maria Di Nolfo, Europe Sales Director at Milliken. “This solution meets the growing demand for highly transparent, reusable products produced with lower energy usage.”
Luban RP2251T combines excellent transparency with strong organoleptic performance, making it particularly suited for thin-walled packaging applications that require both high clarity and stringent sensory standards.
“At OQ, innovation drives everything we do,” said Abdulrahman Al Tamtami, VP Global Marketing at OQ. “Luban RP2251T exemplifies how OQ and Milliken are advancing polymer performance—delivering superior product aesthetics while also supporting energy savings, faster production cycles, and sustainable solutions aligned with global megatrends.”
