The transfer of ownership is planned for 2025 and will give new life to this emblematic industrial site in Brussels
Solvay and Revive, a sustainable developer recognized for the transformation of former industrial sites, announce the signing of an exclusive purchase option for the Neder-Over-Heembeek site. This collaboration marks a key step in the redevelopment of this emblematic site.
This agreement follows Solvay's decision in March 2024 to resell the site to align with its new scope of activities. After a period of due diligence, Revive will be able to exercise the option, thus formalizing a sales contract. If all conditions are met, the finalization of the transfer of ownership is expected to take place in 2025.
Solvay will nevertheless continue to maintain its headquarters on the site, by renting a modernized building that will house offices as well as laboratories that meet its specific needs. The agreement illustrates the joint commitment of both partners to promote sustainable solutions, while ensuring the maintenance of industrial activity and innovation within the site.
