SRF Ltd, leaders in Speciality Chemicals and Packaging Films (BOPP/BOPET), enters into definitive agreement to acquire north India based Windmöller & Hölscher Cast PolyProylene(CPP) film business of Kanpur Plastipack Ltd. (KPL).

"The Board of Directors of Kanpur Plastipack Limited, at its meeting held today i.e. on 11th March, 2025, has approved the Sale of Plant and Machinery of its CPP division situated at Gajner Road, Village Shyampur Fatehpur Roshnai, Dist. Akbarpur, Kanpur Dehat- 209121., considering the non-viability of manufacturing operations to SRF Limited," informed the stock exchange. 

Total agreed sales consideration is Rs. 49.25 crore. 

With a capacity of 7200TPA, producing 7-layered high barrier transparent CPP and other value-added films, listed Kanpur Plastipack Limited is a leading player in Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) & CPP. With this acquisition, SRF has marked its latest foray into CPP films and consolidated its leadership position in flexible packaging film space by expanding its existing product offering of BOPP & BOPET films.

Singhi Advisors acted as an exclusive strategic and financial advisor to KPL. This is Singhi Advisors' 8th deal in the Packaging industry and 2nd deal with SRF. Earlier, Singhi advised SRF on strategic sale of its Engineering plastics business to global major DSM.
