Sumitomo Corporation invests in French carbon fiber company ‘Epsilon Composites’

Strategically expand revenue base downstream in the value chain

Sumitomo Corporation has signed a share purchase agreement and a shareholders agreement to invest in Epsilon Composite S.A.S. The investment was completed after obtaining the necessary approvals from the authorities.

EC is a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (hereafter CFRP) manufacturer established in 1987. EC manufactures high-performance CFRP products at low cost using a unique method of manufacturing called pultrusion combined with proprietary technologies.

With sales offices in Japan, Italy, Austria, Mexico, and other countries, EC operates worldwide in a wide range of industries, including construction, general industries such as camera tripods and robotic arms, sports and leisure, aviation, and the energy industry.
