Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024: APM Terminals to expand operations at Pipavav Port

APM Terminals pioneered its establishment in Gujarat in 1998 by establishing India's inaugural private port

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel convened a meeting with Keith Svendsen, CEO, APM Terminals, at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. Patel highlighted Gujarat's prominent status in the maritime sector, given its extensive 1, 600 km coastline, positioning the state as a frontrunner in contributing to the global 'blue economy' and India's maritime industry.

During the meeting, CEO Keith Svendsen engaged in discussions regarding the expansion and enhancement of the company's operations at Pipavav Port.

Additionally, he noted that APM Terminals pioneered its establishment in Gujarat in 1998 by establishing India's inaugural private port, known as Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Raj Kumar; Principal Chief Secretary to Chief Minister K. Kailashnathan; and other senior officials.
