Shrieve Chemical Company is expanding its footprint across the southeastern United States with the acquisition of Research Solutions Group (RSG), an Alabama-based distributor, blender and recycler of industrial solvents and specialty chemicals.

Shrieve, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital, announced the deal but did not disclose the financial terms.

The acquisition strengthens Shrieve's regional reach while adding critical blending, recycling and logistics capabilities to its operations. The combined businesses aim to deliver a broader portfolio of solutions, stronger technical expertise and expanded service coverage to customers across key markets.

"We are excited to welcome the RSG team to Shrieve," said Joey Gullion, Chief Executive Officer of Shrieve. "RSG has built an impressive business with strong customer relationships, differentiated capabilities, and a reputation for excellence.

"This acquisition expands our geographic reach, strengthens our operational platform, and enhances our ability to deliver value-added solutions to customers. We look forward to partnering with the RSG team as we continue executing our long-term growth strategy."

For RSG, the deal marks the next phase of growth, bringing the company's established customer relationships and technical capabilities under Shrieve's broader operational platform.

"We are proud of the business and culture we have built over the years and believe Shrieve is the ideal partner for the next chapter of RSG's growth," said Jeff Miller, Chief Executive Officer of RSG.

"Our shared commitment to customer service, technical expertise, and operational excellence makes this a strong strategic fit. By combining RSG's capabilities with Shrieve's scale and resources, we will be able to offer even greater value to customers and suppliers while continuing to build on the relationships that have made our business successful."
