Dr. Raman Ramchandran joins Calibre Chemicals as Board of Director

Dr. Raman Ramachandran, previously associated with PI Industries as the Managing Director and CEO has been appointed to the Board of Director of Calibre Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.
Before PI Industries, Dr. Raman was the Chairman & Managing Director of BASF India and Head of the BASF legal entities in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka).
During his stint of nearly two decades as a global chemicals major, Dr. Ramachandran held many positions of responsibility and led the strategic evolution of BASF as a leader in the agricultural products business in the Asia Pacific region. He was a member of the Company’s Executive Committee of the Global Agricultural Products Division and its Global R&D Steering Committee.
Dr. Ramachandran was a member of the Asia Pacific Business Board and Vice-President, Crop Life Asia; and Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Chemicals and Petrochemicals industry group.
He was recently awarded FICCI’s Chemical and Petrochemical sector’s “Life Time Achievement Award for contribution to the Agrochemical Industry”. He serves on boards of PI Industries, Jivagro Ltd., Isagro (Asia) Agrochemicals Pvt. Ltd., and Proklean Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
