Sibur chairman steps down over EU, UK sanctions

Dmitry Konov has also quit Sibur Holding's board of directors and the management boards of Sibur Holding and Sibur LLC.

Sibur, Russia’s largest petrochemical producer said its chairman Dmitry Konov has stepped down, following his inclusion in the EU and UK sanctions lists.
 
"These organisational changes are made following Dmitry Konov's inclusion in the EU and UK sanctions lists and are set to improve resilience of Sibur's business as one of the fastest-growing global petrochemical players," said the company in a statement.
 
Konov, who has been the head of the company since 2006, has stepped down as the chairman of Sibur Holding's management board. He also quit Sibur Holding's board of directors and the management boards of Sibur Holding and Sibur LLC.
