BORL enahnces production capacity at Bina refinery

The company has also recently commenced production of 100% BS-VI grade lubricants and speciality fluids

An expansion worth INR 3,000 crores has increased Bharat Oman Refineries Limited's (BORL) refining capacity from 6 MMTPA to 7.8 MMTPA at the Bina refinery located in Madhya Pradesh, India. This has eased the availability of petroleum products in Northern & Central India & increased employment thereby boosting the economy of Madhya Pradesh. The company has also recently commenced production of 100% BS-VI grade lubricants and speciality fluids.
 
Bharat Oman Refineries Limited is a joint venture between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Oman Oil Company.The BORL refinery has a current installed capacity of processing 7.8 million tonnes of crude oil per annum (MTPA) or 156,000 barrels per day. The refinery also consists of a naphtha hydrotreater, a catalytic reformer to produce gasoline, a hydrocracker, a diesel hydrotreater and a delayed coker. The capacity at the refinery is to be further augmented to reach a final capacity of 15 MTPA by 2022–23.
