Deep Polymers to set up new manufacturing unit at Gandhinagar

The project is likely to get commissioned in the next 6 to 8 months and will manufacture Specialty Black Masterbatch and Specialty Color Masterbatch

Deep Polymers Limited, manufacturers of Antifab Filler Masterbatch, is expanding its operation by setting up a new state of Art Unit at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The company is focusing on striving for continuous growth and innovation by diversifying and adding to its existing products to achieve higher growth and innovation.

As per the company’s projected expansion strategy, a new range of products will be introduced which require new equipment.

For the same purpose, the company has been shortlisted Coperion GmbH, Theodorstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany as machinery suppliers.

The order has been already placed and advances for the same have been paid.

Coperion GmbH is the leader in the extruders and compounding machines. The company is going to buy Twin screw compounders ZSK 58 MC 18, ZSK 45 MC 18, and ZSK 18 MI for which the total cost is Euro 951,000.

ZSK 18 MI is a lab extruder for producing Masterbatch for trail and testing purposes with production capacity 10 MT per month. The company has already acquired land measuring 33,600 square meters in Hajipur Industrial Area, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The new unit will manufacture 310 MT per month of Specialty Chemicals - 240 MT of Specialty Black Masterbatch and 70 MT of Specialty Color Masterbatch.

Speciality Black Masterbatch used in different types of PET fiber like PDY, FDY, Stable fiber, manmade fiber etc. Masterbatch contains Polybutylene Terephthalate (PET), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Carbon Black; and Speciality Color Masterbatch used for PES Filament Yarn, Stable Fiber, Trilobial, Semi Dull Fiber etc. The Masterbatch contains Polypropylene Terephthalate, Dyes, Pigment, and Wax. The company also plans to produce Polypropylene based Masterbatch for non – woven fabric application.

"Deep Polymers Limited envisages good growth and diversification in the first year of operation from this new unit. The project is likely to get commissioned in the next 6 to 8 months. The new unit will be fuelling the growth to achieve the long term plans set by the management enabling the company to continue to provide high quality products and offer a wide range of products," said Ramesbhai Patel, Managing Director, Deep Polymers Limited.

The company expects to grow its presence in the overseas market for its products and the new plant will increase its market share, added Patel.
