Engineers India Limited (EIL) has organised ground breaking ceremony of the 1.5 MMPTA Mongol Refinery project of EPC-2 (Open Art units, Utilities & Offsites, Plant Buildings) and EPC-3 (Captive Power Plants) on April 28, 2023 at Sainshand, Mongolia.

Mongol Refinery is being set up in Mongolia with the Line of Credit fund by the Government of India. This project is also part of the Development Partnership Administration initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India.

The ceremony was graced by M P Singh, Ambassador of India to Mongolia, Delgersaihan, Member of Parliament, Mongolia, Enkhtuvshin, Member of Parliament, Mongolia, Batjargal, Governor of the Dornogovi Province, Ganzorig, Chairman of the Dornogovi Council and Western Development, Dr Altantsetseg Dashdavaa, Executive Director, Mongol Refinery and other senior officials.
