SIBUR has launched a brand of product solutions Vivilen with the involvement of secondary raw materials in the production process flow. To date, the production of polypropylene and polyethylene has been launched at the facilities of partners, in the future it is planned to expand the product line with other products, such as PET and others.

Commitment to the principles of a circular economy and the development of polymer recycling are among the key focuses of SIBUR's Sustainable Development Strategy.

Recycled polymers have a high recyclability and can be reused up to 10 times or more. The use of recycled polymers in the production of final products reduces the impact on the environment: recycling the world's volume of polymer waste will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1.6 billion tons by 2050.

Vivilen is an innovative circular economy brand that gives polymers new life. Today's Vivilen brand products are a combination of quality virgin raw materials and recycled products. The new brand will combine blow molding, injection molding and shrink film solutions. Applications include: the manufacture of plastic containers for household chemicals and household needs, the packaging of cosmetic products, the manufacture of consumer goods (such as clothes hangers) and the packaging of goods. At this stage, the volume of recycled polymer in Vivilen solutions will average around 25%, depending on the type of end product.

New polymer grades were developed by the SIBUR PolyLab Research Center and tested at refiners' facilities. SIBUR has already started industrial deliveries of new solutions and plans to significantly increase them in the second half of this year.

Sergey Komyshan, Member of the Management Board - Executive Director of SIBUR said, “Vivilen is a unique solution for the Russian market that responds to the trend towards environmental friendliness and will meet the growing demand from processors and end consumers aimed at involving secondary raw materials in the production of final products. By creating Vivilen, we offer our innovative partners not a pellet with a new set of properties, but a full-fledged platform both for forming a response to the public demand for green solutions and for fulfilling our own sustainable development goals. This includes joint R&D and supporting materials for end users about the advantages of the proposed solutions, as well as SIBUR's guarantees on the quality of raw materials. "
