Supreme Petrochem FY20 revenue down by 14%

As per the company, its business has been impacted due to COVID-19 pandemic and measures taken by the government to control the same.

Supreme Petrochem Ltd annual turnover for FY2020 has gone down by 14% with total income of Rs.2736.17 crores during the 12 months period ended March 31, 2020 as compared to Rs.3203.83 crores during the 12 months period ended March 31, 2019. However the company has posted net profit of Rs.102.65 crores in 2020 as against Rs.49.20 crores in 2019.
 
The company's (Q4 FY19-20) was also down by 19% with total income of Rs.665.37 crores during the period ended March 31, 2020 as compared to Rs.824.31 crores during the period ended March 31, 2019. The company posted net profit of Rs.23.51 crores as against Rs.38.94 crores 2019.
 
Supreme Petrochem operates in single segment namely ‘Styrenics and allied products’. As per the company, its business has been impacted due to COVID-19 pandemic and measures taken by the government to control the same. Company had to suspend all its manufacturing lines barring one at Nagothane plant to consume styrene monomer which requires special handling. Company’s operations have been severly affected though the demand for Company’s product is expected to revive once the lock down is lifted and supply chain regains normalcy. Due to the nature of assets and th steps taken by the company, there is no impact on the carrying value, usefull life or realisable value. 
 
The company continues to monitor changes in economic conditions and is prepared to take corrective measures to safeguard its business and operations.
