TamilNadu Petroproducts commences manufacturing operations

Comany had temporarily shut manufacturing operations at their plants in Chennai due to lockdown decision by the Government to control spread of COVID-19 infection

TamilNadu Petroproducts Ltd (TPL) has announced that the operations of propylene oxide plant has restarted on 20th April 2020.

The company had earlier re-started operations of heavy chemicals plant and linear alkyl benzene plant on 6th and 7th April 2020 respectively. The plants are operated as per the Government guidelines in force, the company stated.

TPL had temporarily shut manufacturing operations at their plants in Chennai due to lockdown decision by the Government to control spread of COVID-19 infection.

TPL was established with the objective of setting up a 50,000 MTA Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) project in Chennai. Subsequently, the company also diversified into manufacture of Epichlorohydrin (ECH), a key raw material for producing Epoxy Resins. The product range of the company includes Linear Alkyl Benzene, Heavy Alkylate, Epichlorohydrin, Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Hydrochloric Acid, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Hypo chlorite.
