MAIRE announces that Nextchem (Sustainable Technology Solutions), through its subsidiary Stamicarbon, nitrogen technology licensor, has been selected by Linggu Chemical Co. Ltd, a leading Chinese manufacturer of agricultural chemical products, to provide the licensing and process design package to improve the energy efficiency of an existing urea plant in China with an overall capacity of 3,100 metric tons per day.

The Advanced MP Flash Design proprietary technology, part of the Evolve Energy series, allows to significantly lower steam utilization and optimize the use of feedstock, reducing the overall energy consumption of the plant by up to 20% and allowing the plant to maximize its energy savings without adding high-pressure equipment.

Alessandro Bernini, CEO of MAIRE, commented: “This project consolidates our strong technological positioning in China and reaffirms our role as a global technology leader in advanced solutions that help lower the carbon footprint of the fertilizer industry.”
