SLB lands 5-Yr Aramco contract to boost Saudi unconventional gas development

Global tech giant SLB has secured a five-year contract with Aramco to deliver stimulation services for the Kingdom’s unconventional gas fields, part of a wider multi-billion-dollar deal supporting one of the world’s largest unconventional gas development programs.
 
The contract covers advanced stimulation, well intervention, frac automation, and digital solutions, key tools for unlocking Saudi Arabia’s unconventional gas potential—a critical element of the country’s push to diversify its energy mix and advance the global energy transition.
 
“This agreement is an important step forward in Aramco’s efforts to diversify its energy portfolio in line with Vision 2030 and energy transition goals,” said Steve Gassen, executive vice president, Geographies, SLB.
