Havells India partners with Norway’s Pixii to drive advanced battery energy storage solutions in India

Havells and Pixii will follow a phased roadmap to build a long-term Battery Energy Storage System ecosystem in India

Havells India Limited, a leading Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) and consumer durables company, has joined hands with Norway-based energy storage technology firm Pixii AS to develop and introduce advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for the Indian market.
 
The strategic collaboration marks Havells’ entry into the fast-growing energy storage ecosystem and reinforces its commitment to supporting India’s clean energy transition. 
 
By combining Havells’ robust manufacturing capabilities, extensive distribution network and deep understanding of Indian consumers with Pixii’s globally proven energy storage technology, the partnership aims to deliver reliable, efficient and scalable solutions for small-scale, commercial and industrial applications.
 
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Ms. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, along with senior representatives from the Embassy of Norway, Havells India, and Pixii.
 
Under the partnership, Havells and Pixii will follow a phased roadmap to build a long-term Battery Energy Storage System ecosystem in India. The companies will begin with pilot installations to assess market requirements and validate commercial opportunities, followed by the co-development of an integrated energy storage solution. 
 
The collaboration will further progress towards local manufacturing in India and the development of customised solutions designed for Indian customers.
