Jindal Poly Films quarterly profit almost doubles

Company's net profit grew by 93.96% YoY and stood at Rs. 130.4 crore

Jindal Poly Films Ltd reported a strong growth in its profits amid low volume sales during first quarter of the current year.
 
Company's net profit grew by 93.96% YoY and stood at Rs. 130.4 crore in Q1FY21 as compared to Rs. 67.23 crore last year.
 
However the company's sales dropped by 8.32% YoY and reached Rs. 771.25 crore in Q1FY21 from Rs. 841.21 crore in Q1FY20.
 
The company posted EBITDA of Rs 214.46 crore in Q1FY21 that rose by  70.38 per cent YoY. For Q1FY20, it had posted EBITDA of Rs 125.87 crore.
 
Jindal Poly Films Ltd is the largest manufacturer of BOPET and BOPP films in India. The company produces BOPET film, BOPP film, metalized BOPET film and BOPP film, coated BOPET and BOPP films, polyester chips (for captive consumption in the BOPET film).
