Navin Fluorine International Limited, one of the largest and the most respected Indian manufacturers of speciality fluorochemicals, will invest Rs. 436 crore in the Dahej facility for catering to requirements of a leading global company.

The company is investing US $51.5 million (Rs. 365 crore) for a dedicated manufacturing facility and US $10 million (Rs. 71 crore) for a captive power plant.

The product is not part of the Navin Fluorine existing product portfolio. This is a new set of opportunities for application of fluorine for a completely new vertical. The company will manufacture both intermediate and final products of HPP in the fluorochemical space. Intermediate can be used for multi-product manufacturing. Currently the contract is for one product in the fluorochemical space.

Navin Flourine's Dahej facility is expected to start from Q4 FY’22/Q1 FY’23. The project will be executed through wholly owned subsidiary Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Limited (NFASL) at Dahej, Gujarat. This investment will lay the foundation for the next phase of growth of specialty chemicals business.

The new facility will help enhance its product offerings and strengthen customer relationships along with providing building blocks for future growth. The Multipurpose Plant will provide peak annual revenue of Rs. 260-280 crore for the company.

The company has entered into a seven year contract worth US $410 million with a leading global company for manufacture and supply of High Performance Product (HPP) in the fluorochemical space.
