The move comes as digital infrastructure becomes a strategic asset for industry, playing a critical role in competitiveness, technological independence and data sovereignty.
Since launching its Green Data Center in 2013, Eni has built extensive expertise in designing, managing and scaling high-performance computing infrastructure.
Today, the facility hosts the HPC6 and HPC7 supercomputers, which together deliver performance beyond Exascale-class levels and position Eni as the industrial organisation with the highest supercomputing capacity in the world.
Eni’s push to strengthen digital capabilities also includes its partnership with Khazna Data Centers to develop a next-generation AI Data Center Campus.
Alongside its infrastructure investments, the company has expanded its expertise in supercomputing and artificial intelligence, applying these technologies across its industrial operations and opening them to the wider innovation ecosystem through initiatives such as Call4Innovators.

Through the initiative, Eni will provide access to its supercomputing capabilities via AI services designed to help partners securely develop and maximise the value of infrastructure, data and models. The programme aims to support innovation while aligning with Italian and European industrial priorities and strengthening digital sovereignty.
