Epson, the world's leading manufacturer of SCARA robots, has unveiled its next-generation industrial robotics portfolio at Automation Expo Mumbai 2026.

At the event, the company has introduced the new CX-A Series 6-axis robots, LS-C Series SCARA robots and RC+ 8.0 robot programming software, alongside its SafeSense advanced safety technology.

The expanded portfolio is designed to meet the growing automation needs of manufacturers across industries, supporting applications such as pick-and-place, precision assembly, parts transfer and material handling.

The latest additions strengthen Epson's existing industrial robotics lineup, which includes the 6-axis C-Series and the SCARA T-Series and LS-Series robots, giving manufacturers greater flexibility, productivity and operational efficiency.

The new CX-A Series is built to handle complex, high-precision applications with advanced 6-axis performance, while the LS-C Series delivers faster cycle times and higher productivity in a compact SCARA platform.

Complementing the hardware is Epson's RC+ 8.0 software, a unified platform for robot programming, simulation and system management that simplifies and accelerates automation deployment.

Epson also showcased its SafeSense technology, which enables safer collaboration between robots and human operators while supporting reduced safety fencing requirements, where applicable.

The technology incorporates advanced safety functions, including Safety Limited Speed (SLS) and Safety Limited Position (SLP), helping manufacturers improve operational flexibility without compromising safety.

Commenting on the launch, Siva Kumar, Sr. General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Epson India, said, "India is rapidly emerging as a global manufacturing hub, and automation will play a pivotal role in shaping its future.

"With our new industrial robot lineup and RC+ 8.0 platform, Epson is delivering the speed, precision and intelligence manufacturers need to compete in an increasingly dynamic marketplace. We remain committed to enabling businesses to accelerate automation adoption and build smarter, more agile and globally competitive manufacturing operations."
