NTPC Rajasthan Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has been incorporated on 8th January, 2025 as 74:26 joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL), a Government of Rajasthan Undertaking. 

The objective of the company is to develop, operate and maintain renewable energy parks including UMREPP/ RE projects comprising of solar/wind/hybrid with or without storage upto 25 GW capacities in Rajasthan and development of green hydrogen/derivatives (Green Ammonia/Green Methanol etc.) upto 1 Million Ton capacity through a suitable model.

The Ministry of Power (MOP), Govt. of India vide its letter dated 26.09.2024 forwarded concurrence of DIPAM and NITI Aayog for formation of joint venture company between NGEL and RVUN.
