Pace Digitek’s material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL), has secured a Rs 4,884.6 million (Rs 488.46 crore) order from NTPC GE Power Services Private Limited (NGSL) for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Barh Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), covering NTPC Stages I and II.
The order expands Pace Digitek’s direct BESS supply business and includes not only equipment supply but also commissioning and long-term lifecycle support.
Under the contract, LPPL will supply BESS containers along with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). Its scope also covers testing, supervision of erection and commissioning.
The contract further includes five years of annual maintenance services and a seven-year extended warranty for the battery containers, giving LPPL a role in supporting the systems well beyond initial deployment.
The order is scheduled for completion by December 31, 2026.
The order comes as Pace Digitek pushes to expand its presence across the BESS value chain, positioning LPPL as a product-led business spanning manufacturing, product supply, system integration and lifecycle support.
Pace Digitek operationalised 2.5 GWh of BESS manufacturing capacity in 2025 and has since expanded capacity to 5 GWh. The company plans to scale this further to 10 GWh by the third quarter of FY2027.
The company said it has delivered BESS containers representing more than 1.5 GWh of capacity to date.
As it broadens its BESS operations, Pace Digitek is focusing on localisation, system integration and service capabilities, with the aim of serving a wider range of customer requirements. The company is also evaluating opportunities in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment, alongside its core utility-scale BESS business.
