Acutaas Chemicals Limited has raised its FY27 revenue growth guidance to around 30% from 25%, following a strong second-quarter performance driven by its pharmaceutical intermediates business and an improved order pipeline.

The company reported a 42.7% year-on-year jump in consolidated revenue from operations to Rs 4,369 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Net profit surged 71.4% to Rs 1,231 million, while EBITDA climbed 84.6% to Rs 1,760 million.

The strong performance also lifted the company's EBITDA margin to 40.3% from 31.1% a year earlier. Net profit margin expanded to 28.2% from 23.5%.

Acutaas has also raised its FY27 EBITDA margin guidance to 38-40%, citing improved revenue visibility and a robust order pipeline.

Commenting on the performance, Naresh Patel, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Acutaas Chemicals Limited, said: “We delivered strong revenue of Rs 4,369 million, representing 42.7% year-on-year growth. The performance was led by the continued momentum in our Pharmaceutical Intermediates business, which was offset by softer performance in the Specialty Chemicals segment.

"A significant milestone during the quarter was the inauguration of our South Korea manufacturing facility ahead of schedule. The facility is equipped to produce high-purity chemicals used in photoresists, semiconductor packaging materials, etching materials and other semiconductor applications, positioning us to capitalize on opportunities in the fast-growing semiconductor ecosystem.

"Improved revenue visibility and robust order pipeline gives me confidence to revise our FY27 revenue growth guidance upward from 25% to around 30%. We are also raising our EBITDA margin guidance to 38-40% range.”

Acutaas sustained its growth momentum in the first half of FY27, with consolidated revenue rising 49.3% year on year to Rs 7,666 million, compared with Rs 5,134 million in the corresponding period last year.

EBITDA nearly doubled, jumping 97.7% to Rs 2,890 million from Rs 1,462 million. Net profit rose 71% to Rs 1,981 million against Rs 1,159 million in H1 FY26.

Gross profit increased 64.5% to Rs 4,624 million, while the gross margin improved to 60.3% from 54.7%.

For Q2 FY27, gross profit grew 59% year on year to Rs 2,715 million, with the gross margin expanding to 62.1% from 55.8% — an improvement of 637 basis points.

The inauguration of its South Korea manufacturing facility ahead of schedule marked a key development during the quarter, strengthening Acutaas' position in the high-purity chemicals market.

The facility will manufacture chemicals used in photoresists, semiconductor packaging materials, etching materials and other semiconductor applications, giving the company an opportunity to tap growth in the semiconductor ecosystem.

While the pharmaceutical intermediates business continued to drive growth, softer performance in the specialty chemicals segment partially offset the gains.
