Asian Paints begins production at new 1.5 lakh TPA VAE emulsion plant In Dahej

Asian Paints has officially commenced commercial production of Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE) at its new manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The newly operational plant boasts an installed capacity of 1.5 lakh tonnes per annum (TPA) and marks a massive milestone in the paint major's domestic backward integration strategy.  The VAE output generated at this facility is primarily intended for internal/captive consumption across Asian Paints’ manufacturing network. It will not be sold externally.

Time Technoplast commissions Bhilad packaging plant with 6,000 tonne capacity

Time Technoplast Limited has completed and commissioned its new packaging plant at Bhilad in Valsad, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in expanding its local industrial packaging manufacturing footprint.

Built with an investment of approximately Rs. 24 crore, the fully automated facility possesses an annual polymer processing capacity of 6,000 tonnes. Commercial production at the newly constructed Bhilad plant is scheduled to commence on September 25, 2026.

Grasim Industries temporarily shuts Canadian pulp facility amid challenging conditions

Grasim Industries Limited has announced that its 45%-owned Canadian pulp joint venture, AV Group NB Inc., will temporarily idle operations at its dissolving-grade pulp facility in Nackawic, New Brunswick, around the end of October 2026.The decision is driven by challenging macroeconomic conditions, a surplus of dissolving-grade pulp in the marketplace, and production costs outpricing market realizations.
