Endress+Hauser opens new Alsace campus bringing production and sales under one roof

The new campus provides the optimal environment for closer collaboration between sales, service and production

Endress+Hauser has opened a new company campus in Cernay, Alsace, bringing production, sales and central functions together at a single site as the industrial group strengthens its presence in the region.

The campus was inaugurated on 2 October 2026 in an event attended by customers, partners, employees, and business and government representatives.

Endress+Hauser has manufactured flowmeters in Cernay for customers around the world since 1991. The latest move brings around 140 employees from the company’s sales center in Huningue to the Cernay site, creating a consolidated base for its operations in the region.

“The new campus provides the optimal environment for closer collaboration between sales, service and production. It enhances our customer closeness, promotes innovation and supports our long-term growth,” said Peter Selders, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group.

Steven Endress, President of the Endress+Hauser Supervisory Board, said the investment also underlines the company’s long-term commitment to the region.

“The campus combines our long-standing roots in Alsace with a renewed focus on the future. It is an investment that highlights our commitment to our employees, to this region and to the sustainable growth of our business.”

The new sales building spans 5,700 square meters and features modern workspaces, meeting areas and facilities designed to encourage collaboration and customer engagement.

The site includes a customer experience center, a Process Training Unit (PTU) for hands-on training, breakout and common areas, and a 120-seat auditorium.

Employees were closely involved in the planning and execution of the project, helping shape the design of their new working environment.

Endress+Hauser has also positioned the campus as a major sustainability investment.

Rather than paving additional land, the company demolished an existing building before construction. Of the 1,405 tons of material generated during the process, 96 percent was reused or recycled. Trees on the site were either preserved or replanted.

The new facility meets the requirements of France’s RE2020 environmental regulation for new buildings and is expected to use around 70 percent less energy than Endress+Hauser’s former headquarters in Huningue.

The reduction will be driven by a combination of geothermal energy, photovoltaic installations, green roofs and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems.

The project also drew heavily on regional expertise. Endress+Hauser said 95 percent of the companies involved in the construction and implementation of the campus came from Alsace.

With the opening, Endress+Hauser is reinforcing its decades-long presence in Cernay while creating a single site intended to bring its people, operations and customers closer together.
