Fragrance is moving beyond a supporting role in personal care as brands increasingly turn to scent to drive emotion, storytelling and product differentiation.
Against this backdrop, in-cosmetics Asia, organised by RX, will launch an all-new Fragrance Zone at BITEC, Bangkok, from 3–5 November 2026, bringing together more than 50 international suppliers and a programme focused on the latest fragrance technologies, ingredients and consumer trends.
The launch comes as the Asia Pacific fragrance market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.54% between 2026 and 2031, underlining the region’s expanding appetite for fragrance innovation.
Visitors to the new zone will be able to explore new fragrance concepts, test prototypes at the interactive Scent Bar, sponsored by YIAN ESSENCE (GUANGDONG), and attend the inaugural Fragrance Awards. Industry experts will also share insights into fragrance trends, formulation and product development during Creators’ Forum sessions.
Fragrance is increasingly becoming a defining part of product identity, particularly as consumers across Asia Pacific associate scent with grooming, individuality, confidence and personal appeal.
The Fragrance Zone will showcase innovations spanning ingredients, technologies and formulation solutions from suppliers around the world.
LUZI will unveil its new Urban Forest fragrance collection, inspired by growing interest in wellness-led bathing rituals, while Bell Flavors & Fragrances will showcase consumer insights around emerging fragrance territories including escapism, emotional wellbeing, authenticity, self-expression and joy.
Technology and formulation innovation will also take centre stage. Japan’s Ogawa & Co. will highlight long-lasting fragrance technologies, cooling fragrance solutions and scents incorporating Japanese-sourced natural ingredients. Great Nation will showcase personal care, homecare and wellness formulations, including spa-inspired essential oils and cooling technologies.
Kanha Nature Oils will spotlight botanical extracts, essential oils and hydrosols, responding to continued demand for plant-based fragrance solutions.
At the Scent Bar, visitors will be able to touch, smell and compare fragrance prototypes, with exhibitors including Argeville and Only Fragrances demonstrating how scent can strengthen product identity and deepen consumer appeal.
The debut of the Fragrance Zone will also see the launch of the inaugural Fragrance Awards, recognising innovative fragrance concepts showcased at the Scent Bar. An international panel of fragrance experts, alongside visitor voting, will judge the entries, with winners announced live during the in-cosmetics Asia Awards.
Visitors can also explore The Evolution of Fragrance, an interactive journey charting the origins of fragrance, its role in modern beauty and the innovations shaping its future. The experience will also allow attendees to discover their personalised Fragrance DNA.
The experience is curated by fragrance expert Yves Dombrowsky, who brings more than three decades of international experience and combines emotional archetyping with scent storytelling.
Meanwhile, experts from Argeville, Attractive Scent, Eurofragance and BC Fragrance will explore emerging trends, formulation and product development during Creators’ Forum sessions.
Personal care remains the largest application for fragrance, but its influence is extending into homecare and pet care.
In homecare, brands are using scent to transform routine cleaning experiences, reinforce perceptions of quality and create more personalised products. In pet care, formulators are developing fragrance solutions designed to address odour while taking animal wellbeing into account.
Sarah Gibson, Event Director at in-cosmetics Asia said: “The launch of the Fragrance Zone reflects the growing interest we’re seeing from our visitors, with fragrance rising from the 16th most popular ingredient in 2024 to the 8th in 2025.
"Last year, our visitors were calling for more fragrance suppliers at the show, and we are responding to this demand by increasing the number of exhibitors in this area. The Fragrance Zone brings together more suppliers and more opportunities for visitors to discover the latest fragrance innovations, reflecting the growing momentum around fragrance across beauty, homecare and pet care.”
