Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Limited has approved a capital expenditure plan of Rs. 200 crore to expand its production capacity for high-value specialty filament and specialty fibre products.

The expansion will be executed at the company’s principal manufacturing facility at Butibori in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It will be implemented jointly by the parent firm and its wholly-owned material subsidiary, Indorama Ventures Yarns Private Limited (IVYPL).

Funded via a mix of term loans and internal accruals, the project aims to commence commercial operations within the next 12 to 18 months. This strategic pivot allows the company to deepen its presence in high-margin value-added textile segments, reducing vulnerability to volatile commodity polyester pricing cycles.
