The acquisition includes Clear Water Technologies’ service operations, customer relationships and related assets

Kemira, a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries, has completed the acquisition of the business and related assets of Clear Water Technologies, LLC, a privately-owned company based in California, USA.

The deal marks a further push by Kemira to deepen its foothold in North America and accelerate growth in the fast-expanding industrial water treatment services sector, which is outpacing traditional water treatment markets.

The acquisition includes Clear Water Technologies’ service operations, customer relationships and related assets. The California-based company specializes in boiler and cooling tower services for light industrial customers. It generated just over USD 3 million in revenue in 2025 and employs 12 staff. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver more value to customers by combining Clear Water Technologies’ service expertise with Kemira’s chemical applications,” said Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen, EVP, Water Solutions.

“It’s the second acquisition since our purchase of Water Engineering, Inc., which has provided us with a solid platform for organic and inorganic growth in industrial water treatment services in North America.”

The acquired business will be folded into Kemira’s Water Solutions unit, with operations continuing from its existing location.
