SI Group has marked 75 years of chemical manufacturing at its Rotterdam Junction facility in New York, celebrating the site’s industrial legacy, long-serving workforce and contribution to the local community.

Established in 1951, the facility manufactures alkylphenols and phenolic resins used in a wide range of applications, including tires, adhesives, fuels, lubricants and industrial products. Employing more than 100 people, the site remains a key manufacturing hub in SI Group’s global operations.

“Celebrating 75 years of operations at Rotterdam Junction is a tremendous milestone,” said David Bradley, President and CEO of SI Group. “What is more impressive is the site’s legacy, with many long-tenured employees and multi-generational families continuing to support our business and the community through their work at the site.”

The anniversary celebrations brought employees and their families together at the facility for family activities and remarks from company leaders, recognising the generations of workers who have helped shape the site’s history.

The milestone also included a community support initiative, with SI Group announcing a $7,500 donation to AMEN Place Soup Kitchen & Food Pantry. The local organisation provides food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Karl and Christine Andrzejczyk accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation.

Over the past seven-and-a-half decades, the Rotterdam Junction facility has adapted to changing customer requirements while maintaining its focus on safety, operational excellence and corporate social responsibility. Employees with decades of service continue to contribute to the site’s operations, underscoring the depth of experience built since its establishment.
