Sterling and Wilson, one of India’s leading MEP and EPC companies, has signed an MoU with South Korea-based Shinsung E&G, in a move aimed at capitalising on the rapidly expanding semiconductor, battery and display manufacturing sectors.
The strategic partnership will combine Sterling and Wilson’s project execution capabilities with Shinsung E&G’s specialised cleanroom and dryroom HVAC expertise to jointly bid for, secure and execute projects across semiconductor fabrication plants, battery manufacturing facilities and display production units.
The collaboration comes at a time when India is aggressively building its semiconductor ecosystem, backed by government incentives and investments designed to strengthen domestic manufacturing and global supply chains.
Speaking on the development, Manoj Nair, CEO, Sterling and Wilson, said, “It is a matter of pride, delight and honor to be able to sign a strategic partnership with a well-established industry leader like Shinsung E&G.
"Sterling and Wilson is known across the industry to be deeply aligned with core values, ethics and corporate ethos and we are glad to partner with a company that shares our unwavering commitment to integrity, trust, and ethical excellence.
"We look forward to a fruitful collaboration - one which combines Sterling and Wilson’s long-standing, proven track record in executing MEP projects with Shinsung’s specialised HVAC technology. It has been our endeavor to contribute and deliver our best in helping to meet the escalating demand for high-specification fabrication units.”
The partnership is expected to strengthen both companies’ presence in India and the Middle East, regions witnessing growing investments in advanced manufacturing infrastructure.
Jiseon Lee, CEO, Shinsung E&G said, “Shinsung E&G is pleased to partner with Sterling and Wilson to jointly pursue cleanroom and dryroom HVAC opportunities. India and Middle East have been very important regions for us and we have sensed a growing requirement for MEP works in semiconductor Fabs and OSATs, batteries and display fabs in these markets.
"It would be a great privilege to collaboratively explore geographies where Shinsung E&G and Sterling and Wilson can combine strengths and drive meaningful results. We look forward to identifying our first joint milestones and building a highly successful, long-term partnership”
Industry observers note that India is increasingly positioning itself as a key player in the next wave of global semiconductor growth.
With major investments flowing into chip manufacturing, packaging and allied infrastructure, demand for highly specialised cleanroom and HVAC systems is expected to accelerate, creating significant opportunities for engineering and technology partners serving the sector.
The Sterling and Wilson–Shinsung E&G alliance is expected to play a strategic role in supporting this emerging ecosystem by delivering critical infrastructure for next-generation manufacturing facilities.
