Syensqo has secured recognition from Avio for its role as a strategic raw materials supplier, earning an award at the Italian aerospace company's Supplier recently, at its facility in Colleferro, Italy.

The award highlights the strength of the companies' longstanding partnership and their shared commitment to quality, reliability and innovation across space and defence programmes.

The recognition comes months after the two companies announced a new long-term supply agreement in April 2026, further cementing their collaboration in advanced materials for demanding aerospace and defence applications.

Syensqo supplies high-performance ablative materials, resin transfer molding (RTM) resins and adhesives for Avio's space launch programmes, including Vega-C, as well as defence applications. Designed to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical stresses, these materials are used in critical components such as rocket motor nozzles, exit cones and structural elements.

"Receiving this recognition from Avio is a great honor and a testament to the dedication of our teams and the strength of our longstanding partnership. We are proud to contribute our advanced materials expertise to Avio's programs and remain committed to supporting the next generation of space launch systems." Rodrigo Elizondo, President of Syensqo Composite Materials.

The award also recognises the contributions of Syensqo's global operations teams in Winona, USA; Wrexham and Heanor, UK; and Östringen, Germany. Their expertise and commitment to excellence underpin the delivery of high-performance materials essential to Avio's programmes.

The recognition reinforces Syensqo's position as a key materials partner to Avio, supporting the performance and reliability demands of next-generation space launch systems and defence applications.
