Symrise has strengthened its position in natural fragrance ingredients with the inauguration of a new Lautier 1795 production site in France’s Grasse region, bringing together centuries of natural-raw-material expertise with advanced processing technologies.
The investment expands Symrise’s specialist footprint in southern France and builds on the Group’s recently acquired premium natural capabilities through Floral Concept.
The move brings Lautier 1795 and Floral Concept closer together within Symrise’s wider fragrance ecosystem in Grasse, one of the world’s key centres for perfumery, natural raw materials and fragrance creation.
Under its ONE Symrise approach, the Group is linking local expertise in sourcing, processing and natural ingredients with its global capabilities in innovation, perfumery and customer solutions.
The expanded Grasse network is designed to shorten the path from natural raw materials to finished fragrance ingredients, while giving perfumers access to specialist expertise and a broader palette of naturals.

Founded in Grasse in 1795, Lautier 1795 brings more than two centuries of experience in sourcing and transforming natural raw materials. Its capabilities are now complemented by Floral Concept’s expertise, giving Symrise a broader platform for developing premium natural fragrance ingredients.
The new site combines specialist know-how with modern processing technologies aimed at precise transformation, consistent quality and enhanced traceability.
Symrise says closer collaboration between growers, sourcing partners, ingredient specialists, perfumers and customers will also help turn market requirements and creative concepts into new ingredients more quickly.
For customers, the integrated approach is intended to deliver a combination of creative choice, quality, traceability and specialist natural-ingredient expertise. For perfumers, it expands opportunities to explore the olfactive complexity of naturals and incorporate them into contemporary fragrance creations.
