The newly upgraded infrastructure offers a range of improved facilities aimed at enhancing learning opportunities for students in rural areas
Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Law & Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, inaugurated the newly upgraded library infrastructure in 18 selected government schools across Bikaner district. Supported by Syngenta, a science based ag-tech company, this initiative aims to strengthen the academic ecosystem in these schools by offering improved facilities that promote focused learning and holistic development of students.
These facilities have been upgraded as part of Syngenta’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and commitment to rural prosperity and education. Syngenta has supported the schools with the creation of fully equipped libraries, complete with reading infrastructure and digital resources.
The newly upgraded infrastructure offers a range of improved facilities aimed at enhancing learning opportunities for students in rural areas. The schools are now equipped with book and catalogue racks, reading tables and chairs, ceiling fans, adequate lighting, and computer systems with printers and scanners. This will create an enabling environment for focused study. In addition, the library rooms have been repaired and freshly whitewashed, with motivational messages painted on the walls to inspire and encourage children towards holistic learning.
While dedicating the newly developed facilities to students, Meghwal said: “I am glad that Syngenta India has meaningfully contributed to this cause. The new classrooms and upgraded infrastructure will significantly enhance the ease of both learning and teaching.”
Meghwal further added that the provision of new computers, scanners, printers, and renovated libraries across all 18 schools will empower the children of Bikaner and support their educational journey in a more effective and engaging manner.
Dr KC Ravi, Chief Sustainability Officer, Syngenta India, said, “Learning today is a dynamic and evolving process. It is essential that children are provided not just with the right infrastructure, but also with an environment that nurtures their growth and encourages them to realise their full potential. Access to digital resources is equally critical for their holistic development. We are proud to partner with the state government in this initiative and contribute to strengthening the existing infrastructure in these schools.”
The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the Department of Education, Bikaner, aims to transform the learning environment in the government schools, directly benefitting over 5,446 students of these 18 schools.
