SCC Infrastructure and InSolare Energy bag SECI's 70,000 TPA green ammonia auction

SECI's latest green ammonia auction confirms competitive pricing at Rs. 53.05/kg

  • By ICN Bureau | August 10, 2025

The consortium of SCC Infrastructure and InSolare Energy has won Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) bid to supply 70,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme (Mode-2A).

The consortium quoted a tariff of Rs. 53.05 ($0.6) per kg to win the bid.

The green ammonia will be supplied to Madhya Bharat Agro Products -III in Dhule, Maharashtra.

The result reflects a clear trend of rapid cost compression across successive auctions, reinforcing India’s position as a frontrunner in the global green hydrogen and derivatives market.

Guided by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), supported by the Department of Fertilizers (DoF), and backed by assured offtake arrangements with robust payment security mechanisms, SECI is enabling large-scale adoption of green ammonia.
