Anurag Sharma appointed Director of ONGC
Anurag Sharma has taken over the charge of Director (Onshore), ONGC on 1st June 2020.

Anurag Sharma has been appointed as Director (Onshore), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) with effect from Ist june 2020 in terms of appointment order issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India in place of Sanjay Kumar Moitra who superannuated on 31st May 2020.
Anurag Sharma has taken over the charge of Director (Onshore), ONGC on 1st June 2020. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from NIT, Allahabad and holds a Masters in Business Administration from FMS, Delhi.
Sharma's ascent signifies his passion, commitment and hard work. He has a career spanning over 36 years of outstanding contribution in the company in various positions including those of Asset Manager, Cauvery Asset. During his tenure, Asset made significant improvements which resulted in highest ever oil production in the last two decades.
Sharma spearheaded the flagship 'Make in India' and 'Start-up India' initiatives in ONGC. He has a distinguished track record for delivery of the projects and has contributed significantly to improve drilling operations in Ankleshwar, Jorhat and Cauvery Assets.
Anurag Sharma has vast industry knowledge and global business experience and he has made major contributions in Business Development and Project Management for ONGC Videsh in CIS and SE Asia. He has also handled the challenging Vietnam project and headed RIG, Russia.
