Mukesh Puri, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat would hold the additional charge of the post of Managing Director, Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) in place of Arvind Agrawal. 

 

Mukesh Pri has held several important positions in the Gujarat Government and Government of India such as Collector and District Magistrate; Deputy Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA); Commissioner of Commercial Taxes; Principal Secretary, Education Department; and Water Supply Department. Puri has also held the position of Managing Director, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL); and Chairman, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB).

 

Puri has worked with UNICEF for a period of 3 years and is presently posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development & Urban Housing Department, Government of Gujarat.

 

Mukesh Puri is an lAS officer with 32 years of experience in public administration. He has done his Post Graduation in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and subsequently obtained a Master's Degree inInternational Political Economics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
