Orbia appoints Sameer S. Bharadwaj as CEO

Sameer S. Bharadwaj joined Orbia in 2016 and has been President of Orbia’s Fluor and Polymer Solutions business groups until now.

The board of directors of Orbia has appointed Sameer S. Bharadwaj as its new CEO after Daniel Martinez-Valle has resigned as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective February 1, 2021.  

As of the effective date, Daniel Martinez-Valle will be stepping down as CEO to pursue other endeavors, after having contributed significantly to Orbia’s strategic positioning and solid financial performance during the last three years, for which the chairman and the full board of directors expressed their gratitude.

Daniel Martinez-Valle and his successor Bharadwaj, will work closely through the end of January to ensure an orderly and effective transition process.

Sameer S. Bharadwaj joined Orbia in 2016 and has been President of Orbia’s Fluor and Polymer Solutions business groups until now. He has a deep understanding and knowledge of Orbia and has participated actively in the company’s growth. His broad-based experience and strong leadership will be key to continuing the expansion and success of Orbia.
