IMCD has today announced the appointment of Pilar Castellanos Pineda as Managing Director of IMCD Colombia effective 25 May 2021. With 30 years of experience as a business owner in the chemical distribution industry, Pilar takes on the leadership position in Colombia and will be responsible for continuing the growth trajectory of both IMCD Colombia and Siliconas y Químicos, an IMCD company.

A chemical engineer, Pilar joins IMCD via the recent acquisition of Siliconas y Químicos, which she co-founded in 2000. Based in Bogotá, her entrepreneurial track record is driven by a passion for collaboration and an emphasis on building long-term relationships as a solutions provider to both supplier partners and customers. Upon Pilar’s appointment, her predecessor, Oscar Clavijo, will begin his transition into retirement.
