GAIL India Q2 FY24 consolidated PAT up 36% at Rs. 2444.05 Cr

GAIL (India) has reported total income of Rs. 33255.02 crores during the period ended September 30, 2023

GAIL (India) Limited has reported Consolidated financial results for the period ended September 30, 2023.

GAIL (India) has posted net profit of Rs. 2444.05 crores for the period ended September 30, 2023 as against net profit of Rs. 1791.85 crores for the period ended June 30, 2023. The company posted net profit of Rs.1315.11 crores for the period ended September 30, 2022.

GAIL (India) has reported total income of Rs. 33255.02 crores during the period ended September 30, 2023 as compared to Rs. 33000.79 crores during the period ended June 30, 2023. The company has reported total income of Rs.38969.88 crores during the period ended September 30, 2022.

For the Half Year ended September 30, 2023, GAIl (India) has reported total income of Rs.66255.81 crores as compared to Rs.77003.18 crores during the 6 months period ended September 30, 2022. The company has posted net profit of Rs.4235.90 crores for the 6 Months period ended September 30, 2023 as against net profit of Rs.4568.06 crores for the 6 Months period ended September 30, 2022.

During the quarter, Natural gas transmission volume stood at 120.31 MMSCMD in Q2 FY24 as against 116.33 MMSCMD in Q1 FY24. Gas marketing volume stood at 96.96 MMSCMD as against 98.84 MMSCMD in previous quarter. LHC sales stood at 242 TMT as against 247 TMT and Polymer sales stood at 168 TMT as against 162 TMT in comparison to previous quarter.

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said that during the quarter the company has performed well specially on the strength in Gas Transmission segment which will continue to perform better. He said performance during the quarter was constrained due to lower realisation in Polymers and LPG which are expected to be better going forward. He further stated that the company has incurred a Capex of around Rs 4,853 crore during the current half year, mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc.
